Building pollutant diagnostics and construction material inventory
Pollutant diagnostics, waste management and inventory before renovation or dismantling.
Building pollutant diagnostics
Most buildings constructed before 1990 contain asbestos or other pollutants such as PCBs, PAHs, heavy metals, wood preservatives or other hazardous substances.
When preparing a building pollutant report, we identify these pollutants in order to assess the urgency, determine the remediation method required to protect workers, the public and the environment, and define how waste can be recovered or routed to the most appropriate disposal channel.
In this context, ESI offers the following services:
- Diagnosis of hazardous substances in construction materials
- Preparation of a waste management plan
- Cost estimates for asbestos removal and disposal of hazardous substances
- Tendering of asbestos removal and hazardous substance disposal works
- Support for the building owner or client during building renovation.
Construction material inventory
A construction material survey is an essential preparatory step before a building is demolished. It identifies, quantifies and qualifies all construction elements, equipment and waste present on site in order to facilitate sorting, reuse or recycling in accordance with the applicable regulations.
